About The Author: Sting Inspiration

Here I have looked at some existing examples of animations created using Adobe After Effects, which in my opinion look quite subtle, yet still really effective. I didn't want to find examples that are full of movement and flawless animation cycles, as this project will be my first time using after effects and don't want to get too caught up in making my sting too complicated.

This first example uses almost still images with very limited yet subtle movement, including mostly pans and zooms. I think the small amount of movement still creates a slow motion, action packed vibe. Once again, the sound is used very effectively to create this, yet it is also created through the use of dynamic angles. I don't particularly like this style of image making, however I can recognise the effectiveness of it as an animation in the comic book genre.

This is a very small, sting like animation with once again very limited amounts of animation. The use of a slow pan is really appropriate for the seaside setting, and creates an almost swaying effect when accompanied by the waves sound effect. I feel that these 2 animations that I have chosen show how slow subtle movements can be used to create 2 very different effects.
