In this task I explored the use of Shape to create simplistic imagery. I used alot of collage which I enjoyed but found quite difficult in terms of creating composition. I thought that my set of horror themed collages were really effective, as I heavily focused on the design side as well as creating imagery. I also like the use of lines to create depth in the collage, aswell as creating visual consistency.
I also used gouache paint to create flat opaque colours. This was my first time using gouache and found it really easy to achieve a flat texture. I think this image is also effective because of the simplistic use of 4 colours, yet it still conveys meaning.
